Who We Are

We are BlendAtlas. Our address is Triq Tal-Ħriereb, Imsida, MSD 1672, Malta. When this policy says "we" or "us", it means BlendAtlas.

What This Policy Is

Your privacy matters to us. This page explains what information we collect about you, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

Section 03

What We Collect

We only collect information that you choose to give us. Here is what that might look like:

• Your name and email. When you sign up for our newsletter, we ask for your name and email address so we can send you recipes and updates.
• Payment details. If you buy something from us, your payment information is handled by a secure third-party service. We never see or store your card number ourselves.
• Things you tell us. Sometimes you might fill in a form, answer a question, or send us a message. We keep that information so we can respond properly.
• Messages you send us. If you email or contact our team, we keep a record of that conversation.

How We Use It

We use your information to:

• Send you our newsletter and recipes — but only if you have asked us to.
• Reply to your questions or requests.
• Let you know about things that might interest you.
• Understand how people use our site, so we can make it better.
• Spot and stop fraud or anything harmful.
• Keep our promises to you — for example, if you have ordered something.

Section 05

Why We Are Allowed to Use It

We are based in Malta and follow the EU's data protection law, called GDPR. This law says we need a good reason before we use your personal information. Our reasons are usually one of these:

• You gave us your permission — for example, when you subscribed to our newsletter.
• We need it to keep a promise we made to you — for example, to send something you ordered.
• It is in our genuine interest as a business, and it does not harm your rights.

If you want to know the exact reason why we use a particular piece of your information, just ask us.

Section 06

Who We Share It With

We do not sell your information. We only share it in these situations:

• With companies that help us run BlendAtlas — such as our email platform or payment provider. They are only allowed to use your data to help us, nothing else.
• If BlendAtlas is ever sold or merged with another company, your information may be part of that transfer.
• If the law requires us to — for example, if a court asks us to share information, we have to comply.

Section 07

Emails and Marketing

We only send you marketing emails if you have asked to receive them. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and we will stop.

You can also email us at clive.agius.23@gmail.com and ask us to stop at any time. We will never share your details with another company for their own marketing without asking you first.

Section 08

How Long We Keep It

We do not hold onto your information any longer than we need to. When we no longer need it, we delete it. How long that takes depends on what the information is for — for example, we keep newsletter subscriber details for as long as you remain subscribed.

If you would like to know how long we keep a specific piece of information, just get in touch and we will tell you.

Section 09

Sending Data Outside the EU

We are based in Malta, inside the EU, and we try to keep your data here. If we ever need to send your information to a country outside the EU, we make sure it is protected properly — for example by using standard contracts approved by the European Commission.

Section 10

Your Rights

Under EU law, you have the right to:

• See what information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
• Ask us to delete your information.
• Ask us to stop using your information, or to use it less.
• Take back your permission at any time if you previously gave us consent.
• Make a complaint to Malta's data protection authority, the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC).

To exercise any of these rights, just write to us. We will always respond.

If This Policy Changes

If we ever update this policy, we will post the new version here and let you know if it is something important. It is always worth checking this page every so often.
